After years in the making, The Empire is about to be released — on 12 September, Saragarhi Day, the day the Sikh Regiment commemorates the twenty-one soldiers who held the outpost of Saragarhi against thousands rather than surrender, in 1897. Their story of sacrifice against impossible odds is the spirit this novel carries into its own pages, and it felt right to bring The Empire to readers on the very day their courage is honoured.
The Empire will be published by Writer's Pocket. Thank you for staying with this journey through every delay and every rescheduled date — the wait is finally over.
